What is Integrative Pediatrics?

Integrative Pediatrics doesn’t just address acute symptoms but looks at all factors that influence a child’s health. It is a holistic, individualized approach that takes into account the child’s emotional and physical well-being.

Health and Well-being Are Multifactorial:

A variety of factors, such as a mother’s diet during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the child’s daily nutrition, environmental toxins, exposure to screens, sleep habits, physical activity, and emotional health, all play a significant role in a child’s development. Childhood is when children learn how to manage emotions and build resilience, which are essential for later life.

Emotional Learning:

Children must understand that emotions are temporary and manageable. Teaching them to recognize and navigate their feelings helps them grow more confident and emotionally balanced. With the right tools, children can learn to handle imbalanced emotions, allowing them to develop greater autonomy and self-esteem.

What Tools Do You Use in Integrative Pediatrics?

  • Dietary Changes: Adjusting the family’s diet to reduce inflammation and support health.
  • Homeopathy & Homotoxicology: Using gentle remedies to support healing and detoxification.
  • Emotional Management Tools: Tailoring techniques to each child’s needs, such as breathing exercises, physical activity, and mindfulness.

Integrative Pediatrics doesn’t forget the parents, either. Role Modeling: Parents must manage their own stress, self-care, and emotional availability for their children. Children learn from what we do, not just what we say.
